Your dress wants to be enjoyed, and with a little special care it can be enjoyed for many more years to come. Follow our guide and love your garment.
Hang your garment away from direct sunlight. Don't suffocate it in a plastic storage bag - these fabrics like to breathe.
Fabric hangers prevent any storage marks/creases. Use wooden hangers as an alternative.
Wear your dress!
Before washing any garment, try a test patch on a concealed area, like the inner seam.
If you are confident with your washing skills, you can wash cotton, linen and polyesters on a 30 wash.
Don't wash Rayon, Silk or Wools.
To absorb any odours, try hanging your garment in a room with a bowl of white vinegar for a few days. It works.
To keep zippers flowing smoothly, some lubrication every now and again will really be of benefit.
Remember not to follow the old washing instructions on garments. The fabrics are often delicate and these instructions could harm the fibres.
